I had the wonderful honor of spending time with a group of 3rd graders this week (my nephew Ryan's class) ! City Chik- Kids Kriations was hitting another classroom in our grassroots efforts to help rebuild Nepal!
As I prepared to enter a grade school and what I was going to say- I realized it might be easier to get up in front of a board room in Corporate America than a group of 3rd graders! But have no fear- I had my nephew as a helper to rehearse with me. A priceless experience in and of itself!
I entered the classroom to see my website up on the smart board (another first for me!) and that the teacher had me all set up and ready to go! I sat down at the small table and talked with them about my travels- the experiences I have had -and to deliver the message from my heart & what I know to be true! NO MATTER HOW YOUNG WE ARE, NO MATTER WHERE WE ARE, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OUR ACT- WE CAN HAVE AN IMPACT IN CHANGING THE WORLD ONE GRASSROOTS PROJECT AT A TIME!
The group set out to make bracelets for Kids with beads from Nepal! They each created their own one of a kind bracelet and came up with their own unique names! It was fun to have them ask me questions and to share my stories but what most fun was to see these Kids creating something to help others.
As the time came to an end - it was an amazing in one hour- what we had accomplished together! A simple reminder that we can take a small amount of time in helping those around the globe! I couldn't be more excited to share with you Kids Kriations latest project- in our online shop! (Note: bracelets are small and made for Kids)
I hope you love these as much as I do! And s special thank you to all the Kids that took the time to put their HUGE HEARTS into CITY CHIK KIDS KRIATIONS- and helping to rebuild to Nepal!
With oodles of love
PS- to all the teachers out there- my heart is filled with gratitude for all that you do for our future leaders! Special thanks to those teachers that have incorporated City Chik Kids Kriations as part of their programs!! XOXO
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
